Personal data

Personal data is data about your person. These include your name, address and email address. You also do not have to disclose any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases we need your name and address and other information to provide you with the requested service.

The same applies if we supply you with information material on request or if we answer your inquiries. In these cases, we will always point this out to you. In addition, we only store the data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you use one of our services, we generally collect only the information necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for additional information, but this is voluntary. Whenever we process personal data, we do so to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our website, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. These are: Type and version of the browser used, date and time of access, and the IP address.

This data is anonymized and used only for statistical purposes or to improve our Internet and online services

This anonymized data is stored - separately from personal data - on secure systems and cannot be assigned to individual persons. This means that your personal data remains protected at all times.

Content Delivery Network

For the purpose of a shorter loading time, we use a so-called Content Delivery Network ("CDN") from Fastly for some offers. With this service, content, e.g. large media files, is delivered via regionally distributed servers of external CDN service providers. Therefore, access data is processed on the servers of the service providers. Our service providers work for us within the framework of order processing. If you have any questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with you, please use the contact option described in this privacy policy.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an Internet server to your browser and stored on its hard drive. The legal basis for the use of cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 lit f DSGVO.

Only the Internet protocol address is stored - no other personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows us to automatically recognize you the next time you visit our website, making it easier for you to use.

Of course, you can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognized on your next visit, you can also refuse the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to "refuse cookies". The respective procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your respective browser. However, if you refuse the use of cookies, you may experience limitations in the use of some areas of our website.

Google Analytics with anonymization function

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter "Google", on our site. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

The information generated by these cookies, for example time, place and frequency of your website visit including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.

We use Google Analytics with the addition "_gat._anonymizeIp" on our website. In this case, your IP address will already be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and thereby anonymized.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our site, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of our site, compiling reports on website activity for us and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Google will, according to its own information, in no case associate your IP address with other data from Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.

Furthermore, Google offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data is collected by Google about the websites you visit. The add-on tells the JavaScript (ga.js) of Google Analytics that no website visit information should be sent to Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics browser deactivation add-on does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For more information on how to install the browser add-on, click the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

If you visit our site via a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must click this link instead to prevent tracking by Google Analytics within this website in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the above browser add-on. Clicking the link sets an opt-out cookie in your browser that is valid only for this browser and domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted, so you will have to click the link again.

However, the Google Analytics browser deactivation add-on does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. For this purpose, Google Analytics first collects your Google-authenticated ID on our website, which is linked to your Google account (i.e. personal data). Google Analytics will then temporarily link your ID to your Google Analytics data in order to optimize our targeting.

If you do not agree to this, you can turn this off by making the appropriate settings in the "My Account" section of your Google Account.

Customer account

We set up password-protected direct access to the inventory data stored by us (customer account) for each customer who registers accordingly.  Here you can view data about their completed, open and recently shipped orders and manage their address data, bank details and newsletter. You undertake to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make it accessible to any unauthorized third party. We cannot accept any liability for misused passwords unless we are responsible for the misuse.

Security

We have implemented technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorized access. All of our employees and service providers working for us are obliged to comply with the applicable data protection laws.

Whenever we collect and process personal data, it is encrypted before it is transmitted.  This means that your data cannot be misused by third parties. Our security measures are subject to a continuous improvement process and our data protection declarations are constantly revised. Please make sure that you have the latest version.

Newsletter

For sending the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure, i.e. we will only send you a newsletter by e-mail if you have previously expressly confirmed that you want us to activate the newsletter service. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of subscription. This storage serves solely as evidence in the event that a third party misuses your e-mail address to register you for the newsletter without your knowledge or authorization. If you do not wish to receive any more newsletters from us at a later date, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates.

Use of your data for advertising purposes

In addition to processing your information to fulfill your purchase from self-diagnostics, we also use your information to communicate with you about your orders, specific products or marketing promotions, and to recommend products or services that may be of interest to you. You may object to the use of your personal data for advertising purposes at any time, either in whole or in respect of individual measures, without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs in accordance with the basic rates. A notification in text form to the contact data mentioned under item 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) shall suffice for this purpose. Product recommendations by e-mail As a self-diagnostics customer, you will regularly receive product recommendations from us by e-mail. You will receive these product recommendations from us regardless of whether you have subscribed to a newsletter. In this way, we want to send you information about products from our range that may be of interest to you based on your recent purchases from us. In doing so, we strictly comply with the legal requirements. If you no longer wish to receive product recommendations or promotional messages from us, you can object to this at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. A notification in text form to the contact data mentioned under item 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose. Of course, you will also find an unsubscribe link in each e-mail.

Customized advertising for you

Information we receive from you helps us to permanently improve your shopping experience and to make it customer-friendly and individual for you. The information you provide and automatically generated is used to tailor advertising to you and your interests. We use existing information for this purpose, such as confirmations of receipt and reading of e-mails, information about computer and connection to the Internet, operating system and platform, your order history, your service history, date and time of your visit to the homepage, products you have viewed. We use this information exclusively in pseudonymized form. By analyzing and evaluating this information, we are able to improve our websites and our Internet offering, as well as to send you individualized advertising as a result. This means advertising that recommends products that you might actually be interested in. Our goal is to make our advertising more useful and interesting for you. Therefore, the evaluation and analysis of the pseudonymized data collected from you helps us to ensure that we do not send you advertising indiscriminately. Rather, we will send you advertisements, such as newsletters, product recommendations, via email or postal mail, that match your areas of interest. In this respect, for example, we also compare which of our promotional e-mails you open in order to avoid unnecessary e-mails being sent to you. I agree that self-diagnostics may use the data I have provided and other information stored about my customer account, as well as pseudonymized usage data, to present me with personalized advertising and/or special offers and services. If you do not wish to receive personalized advertising, you may object to this at any time, either in whole or for specific measures. A notification in text form to the contact data mentioned in section 1 (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this purpose.

Credit assessment

In order to provide you with the best possible options for choosing a payment method, we need to protect you and ourselves from abuse. Therefore, we transmit the personal data required for a credit assessment, including your address data, to the company PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg, which carries out a corresponding assessment on the basis of mathematical-statistical procedures. Your address data is also included in the calculation of the probability value. We use the information we receive about the statistical probability of a payment default ("probability value") to make a weighted decision about the payment options to be granted to you. If you do not agree with the payment method(s) offered to you as a result of this automated process, you may notify us in writing by letter or by email to services@nal-vonminden.com. We will then reconsider the decision, taking into account their point of view. You can object to the transfer of your data to PayPal at any time. A notification in text form (e.g. e-mail, fax, letter) is sufficient for this. However, we would like to point out that in this case only the payment method prepayment is available to you.

Integration of the Trusted Shops trust badge

To display our Trusted Shops seal of approval and to offer Trusted Shops products to buyers after they have placed an order, the Trusted Shops trust badge is integrated on this website.

This serves to protect our legitimate interests in optimal marketing by enabling secure shopping in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests. The trust badge and the services advertised with it are an offer of Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15C, 50823 Cologne. The trust badge is provided by a CDN provider (content delivery network) as part of order processing. Trusted Shops GmbH also uses service providers from the USA. An appropriate level of data protection is ensured. You can find more information about the data protection of Trusted Shops GmbH here.

When the Trustbadge is called up, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file, which also contains your IP address, the date and time of the call, the amount of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data) and documents the call. Individual access data is stored in a security database for the analysis of security anomalies. The log files are automatically deleted no later than 90 days after creation.

Further personal data is transferred to Trusted Shops GmbH if you decide to use Trusted Shops products after completing an order or if you have already registered to use them. The contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops applies. For this purpose, personal data is automatically collected from the order data. Whether you as a buyer is already registered for product use is automatically checked using a neutral parameter, the email address hashed by cryptological one-way function. The e-mail address is converted into this hash value, which cannot be decrypted by Trusted Shops, before it is transmitted. After checking for a match, the parameter is automatically deleted.

This is necessary for the fulfillment of our and Trusted Shops' overriding legitimate interests in the provision of the buyer protection linked to the specific order in each case and the transactional evaluation services pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Further details, including the objection, can be found in the Trusted Shops privacy policy linked above and in the trust badge.
